Why buyers work with Tvilum
Ask the buyers who place furniture programmes with Tvilum and the answers are rarely dramatic. They stay for the boring reasons buyers stay anywhere: deliveries that arrive, cartons that survive the parcel network, documentation that shows up the same day it is requested, and a partner still standing when the next programme is planned. This page sets out what sits behind that.
Sixty years, one focus
Tvilum has manufactured ready-to-assemble furniture in Fårvang, Denmark since 1965. Six decades on one product category built one of Europe's largest RTA operations: around five million pieces a year, 550 people, own factories in Denmark and Poland, and supply into more than fifty markets across Europe, North America and Latin America. Buyers read that history the way it is intended: this partner has outlived every trend cycle in the industry and will outlive this programme too.
One partner, the whole chain
Design, engineering, production, packing and logistics run in-house. For a buyer that means one point of accountability instead of a chain of suppliers passing blame: the same partner that engineered the product also matured it for production, built the cartons, produced the 3D renders, photography and assembly instructions, and shipped the finished goods from its own logistics centre, palletised into distribution or dropshipped to the end customer's door.
Built for how furniture sells now
A large share of volume furniture now sells online, where the carton is the product until it survives delivery. Tvilum engineers packaging for the parcel age: pack density, drop and vibration testing, and assembly logic that decide damage and return rates before a box ever ships. Programmes run into marketplace and dropship models as readily as into store networks, and private-label programmes are supported across the spectrum, from marketplace private label to fully branded ranges.
Compliance as a starting point
FSC™ and PEFC™ chain-of-custody, EN standards, product safety documentation, external audits, PVC-free since 1994. European manufacturing under European law keeps the supply chain short, auditable and inside the regulatory regime the buyer already answers to.
Danish design, global price point
Tvilum was founded in the middle of the Danish design movement and kept its most radical idea: good design is not finished until ordinary people can afford it. Quiet proportions, honest materials and ready-to-assemble engineering carry that language into volume retail in fifty markets.
The result is not a slogan. It is a delivery record, a compliance file and a content package, which is what buyers actually renew programmes on. Start the conversation →
